The Associate Manager, Associate Relations position is responsible for responding to field associate relations oriented calls and leading investigations to resolve associate complaints or concerns.  This position works with Operations leaders, field HR, and Legal to develop and implement positive workplace practices and strategies aligned with the company’s Mission, Values, and Culture.

 

  • Develops and implements positive workforce practices and strategies in collaboration with Operations leaders and HR.  Aligns practices and strategies with the company’s Mission, Values, Culture as well as desired work environment and business goals.
  • Responds to and Investigates associate or guest complaints related to associate relations issues, such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, or unfair treatment.  Maintains accurate records in compliance with company procedures and recommends actions to be taken.
  • Resolves associate relations concerns following federal and state laws and company policies through effective interaction with associates and Operations leaders.  Ensures consistency with company policies.
  • Prepares formal written responses and supporting documentation related to any associate relations charges (e.g., discrimination, harassment, etc.) as required from within the company and from external agencies.  Prepares for EEO hearings and mediations and assists in negotiating settlements.
  • Reviews and investigates all requests for suspension, corrective action, and termination to ensure requested action complies with company policy.

 

 

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required; recruiting experience preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in HR handling associate relations issues, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment
  • Must be available for alternative work week schedules, including weekends and non-business hours
  • Successful completion of annual store training
